Some are speculating that it has to do with the recent events of parent Alliance Data Systems, and their inability to consummate a deal with the Blackstone Group. Others, even more disastrous, are hearing rumours of a security breach in personal and banking information hosted by the site, resulting in a 'pulling of the plug' as the only rapid way to stem the hemorrhaging of consumer data. Air Miles in Canada is a partner of BMO Bank of Montreal, which recently announced a drop of 35% in quarterly profits following a confluence of circumstances.
